Richard C. Brumley Sr., 84, passed away on January 25, 2026.
Born on August 19, 1941 in Amsterdam, New York, he was the son of the late Richard R. Brumley and Beatrice J. Weiher.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964, the Air National Guard from 1973 to 1977, and the Army National Guard from 1979 to 1983. He was employed with Getty Oil in Albany, where he retired after 44 years as a tractor trailer driver.
He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 977 in Altamont, where he served as Post Chaplain for 4 years and Post Commander for 3 years. He had also served as charter member Chaplain for the American Legion Riders, and volunteered as Chaplain with the Patriot Flight, Inc. in Albany.
In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ann Mesick Brumley; siblings, David and Linda; nephew, Jeffrey Wagner.
He is survived by his children, Richard Brumley Jr. (Stephanie) and Carl Brumley (Jennifer); grandchildren, Chris, Matt, Lauren, Darren, and Josh; fiancé, Kathy Glebatis; sisters-in-law, Joanne Wagner and Clem Brumley; nieces and nephews, Marjorie Trombley (Dave), Dave Brumley, Paul Brumley, Scott Brumley, Brian Brumley, Jimmy Cedeno, and Chrissy Anderson.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2026 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Colonie Golf & Country Club, 13 Country Club Lane, Voorheesville, NY, 12186.
