Richard E. Anthony, III

HALFMOON – Richard E. Anthony III, 39, of Halfmoon, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 9, 2026.

Ricky, as he was affectionately known, was born in Amsterdam on June 28, 1987, the son of the late Wendy Sue Slingerland. He was a graduate of Schalmont High School, Class of 2006.

Ricky was a gifted bowler and proudly bowled four perfect 300 games throughout his years on the lanes. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time working on his RC car a fan of NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt number 3.

A kind and helpful neighbor, Ricky was always willing to lend a hand. He could often be found alongside his neighbors, helping with home projects and offering his time and talents whenever they were needed. His generosity and willingness to help others will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Ricky is survived by his grandparents, Christine M. Slingerland and Raymond D. Slingerland; his godmother, Sue Fiorino; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ricky’s family would like to thank the ER doctors and nurses of Samaritan Hospital and the Clifton Park, Halfmoon ambulance paramedics and staff.
