Rebecca "Becky" J. DeJesus, 42, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Becky was the daughter of Sue Hough and the late Robert Hough. Becky was wife to Ralph William DeJesus.
She was a Librarian with the Capital Region BOCES in Albany for many years.
In addition to her mother and her husband, she is survived by her two beloved children, Benjamin and Charlotte, who were her pride and joy. Becky loved to brag about their accomplishments and share stories about them whenever possible. She is also survived by her brothers Theodore “Ted” Hough, Bob Jr. Hough, and William “Bill” Hough; many aunts and uncles; and her cousins, with whom she was fortunate to grow up and remained very close throughout her life. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who adored her.
Becky had a lifelong love of reading, which naturally extended into her occupation as a Librarian. She had recently discovered crocheting and enjoyed making small crochet animals for friends and family. A passionate knitter as well, she found joy and comfort in creating handmade gifts that brought smiles to those around her. She was also an avid trivia enthusiast and a devoted Jeopardy fan, rarely missing an episode. A lifelong learner, Becky loved practicing Spanish and French on Duolingo as well as with friends who shared her love of languages. She also loved to cook and enjoyed trying new recipes and learning new techniques in the kitchen, always eager to share her creations with others.
Above all, Becky’s happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her family. Her warmth, creativity, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
