Raymond F. Dozois, 99, of Clifton Park, passed away on April 11, 2026. Born on November 9, 1926, in Cohoes, New York, he was the son of the late Francis and Virginia Dozois.
Raymond proudly served in the Merchant Marines and later in the United States Army during the Japanese Occupation. He was an avid bowler and gardener, taking great pride in his vegetable garden. He was also a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Raymond was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park and a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 1450.
He was predeceased by his sister, Helen Thaler.
Raymond is survived by his beloved wife of 79 years, Marie Dozois; his three children, Raymond “Michael” (Jayne) Dozois, Lynn (Wayne) Racht, and Brian (Cindi) Dozois. Grandchildren; Amy Park, Gregg Burke, Nadine Dickinson, Shane Burke, Laura Bongiovanni, Becky Farinacci, Patty Belles, Mike Dozois, Beth Bourn, Danielle Decker. A host of great-grandchildren.
Raymond will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his country, and the many memories he created with those he loved.
Calling Hour 10:00am-11:00am followed by a 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday April 20, 2026, held at St. Edward the Confessor 569 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Interment to follow Mass, Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
