SCHENECTADY-Raymond C. Alvord, 74, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.
Raymond was born in Schenectady, NY on July 7, 1942 to the late Edward and Betty Alvord.
Raymond served his country honorably in the United States Air Force as a Technical Sergeant from 1959 to 1979.
Raymond is predeceased by his older brother, Lee Alvord.
He is survived by his wife, June E Alvord, his 7 children; Scott, Brett, Vandy, Corinne, Nicole, Antonia, Steven; siblings, Debbie Croyle, Gary Alvord, and Edward Alvord, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces nephews cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 10am-12pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A funeral service for Raymond will begin at 12:00pm followed by interment at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
