Ralph Hurst, 90, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Atria Crossgate Assisted Living facility. Born in Wakeman, Ohio, he was the husband of the late Corinne Hurst and son of the late Milton and Kathleen Hurst.
Ralph was a graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology Michigan with a degree in aeronautical engineering and served as a Navy aviator at the end of WWII. Ralph worked as a Mechanical Engineer for GE and MTI during his 40 year professional career. His love of the Lord was foremost in his life and his service as a church elder spanned 50 years - "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Matthew: 25:21. His personal passions above all things were his grandchildren and the great game of golf.
Ralph will be dearly missed by his daughter Dawn McDermott and son-in-law Scott McDermott of Voorheesville; granddaughter Meghan Hauger and grandson-in-law Ryan Hauger of Westerlo; and grandson Connor McDermott of Voorheesville.
There will be no formal services.
For friends who desire to honor Ralph's memory and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The City Mission of Schenectady.
