Phyllis A. Jacobson

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our cherished mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Phyllis A. Jacobson. Phyllis passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 87, following a brief illness. She was surrounded by the warmth, laughter, and comfort of her family in her final moments.

Born in Albany, NY, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Eugene and Dorothy Hedgeman. A graduate of Albany High School, she went on to dedicate over 30 years of her life as a medical office manager and ophthalmic technician before enjoying her well-deserved retirement in 2014.

Phyllis is now reunited with her husband, Gerald R. Jacobson, her dear son, Richard, and her siblings, Jean, Robert, Joseph, and Marie, all of whom preceded her in death.

Family was truly the heart of Phyllis’s world. Her greatest joy in life was time spent with her adored grandchildren, and later, her grand-nephew Jaxson. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her children Steve (Molly) and Christopher (Stephanie), her grandchildren Cynthia, Ryan, Samantha, Aubree, and Emma, and her loving nieces and nephews.
