Phyllis A. Brucker

GUILDERLAND-Phyllis A. Brucker, age 80, passed away surrounded by family on April 16, 2026 at her residence.

She was born in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Philip and Rose Siano. She was also predeceased by her sister Rita Bauer and her beloved dog Rosie, who is waiting at the rainbow bridge for her.

Phyllis graduated from St. Helena’s High School in the Bronx. After marrying her beloved husband, she moved to Middleburgh, NY to start raising a family. In 1976 she became a resident of Guilderland, where she remained ever since.

Phyllis was not only a devoted wife and mother, she was extremely creative and crafty. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking all of which she was an expert. Many friends and family have beautiful keepsakes handcrafted to remember her by.

While she had many jobs throughout her life, her happiest was as Groundskeeper at French’s Hollow Fairways. She fostered many beloved friendships there and also enjoyed interacting with the wildlife.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gary; her son, Eric and her daughter, Rita (Thomas). She is also survived by her brother Dominick (Kathy); brother in law Glenn (Patricia), sister in law Ingrid (Alan) and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday April 24, 2026 from 3 to 4 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend her funeral service following at 4 p.m.
