Paul H. Root

SCOTIA_Paul H. Root, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his home.
Paul was born on March 3, 1964 son of the late Richard H. Root Sr. and Violet G. Root.
Paul was a kind and passionate person. He was a talented pianist and gardener. He wanted to make the world more beautiful for those around him using his many gifts of interior decorating and his eye for detail. He was a loyal friend, and extremely loving brother and a devoted partner to the love of his life, Keith. He loved to travel, visit family and friends and spend time at Cape Cod and Lancaster. He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to know and love him.
Paul is survived by his beloved and devoted partner, Keith Stroebele, twin sister, Barbara A. (Frederick) Veltman, brothers, Richard H. Root Jr., Douglas A. Root, sister, Nancy E. (Keith) Gunner, Father and mother-in-law, Charles and June Stroebele, sister-in-law, Kim (Eric)Tyler, 2 Aunts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY. A service to celebrate Paul's life, will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 6:00 pm also at New Comer Funeral Home.
In keeping with Paul's wishes to make this world more beautiful, not only through the lives he touched but the beautiful gardens he so enjoyed planting, friends who wish to send flowers are encouraged to choose a perennial plant to be placed in his garden.
