Patti Ann Montanino
February 3, 1957 – April 12, 2026
Patti Montanino passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong resident of Saratoga County, Patti lived in Stillwater, Mechanicville, and most recently Clifton Park. She was a proud graduate of Stillwater High School. After many years of hard work, she retired as the owner of Westgate Wine and Liquor, and previously worked for Grand Union.
Patti found joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending hot summer days by the pool and preparing meals for family and friends. She had a generous spirit and was happiest when bringing people together. She had a deep love for animals throughout her life, especially her cherished dog Mickey and Jed, and found comfort and happiness in their companionship.
Patti was predeceased by her loving life partner, William “Billy” Burton. She is survived by her parents, Marie and Robert Viall; her children, Raymond (Meagan) Lefco and Amanda Montanino; and her beloved granddaughter, Callie Lefco. She is also survived by her siblings, Edward (Sue) Viall, Robert Viall Jr., Vicki Moll, and her best friend and “little sister,” Tina Viall. The two were truly inseparable—a bond that could only be described as lifelong partners in laughter and fun with a connection full of love.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Community Hospice for their care and guidance during Patti’s final days, as well as her Forest Pointe neighbors who checked in on her and helped her in recent years.
A celebration of Patti’s life will be held on Sunday, May 17th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at the Fairways of Halfmoon Clubhouse, 17 Johnson Road, Mechanicville, NY 12118. Family and friends are invited to attend, share memories, and celebrate Patti’s loving soul.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice or a local animal shelter in Patti’s memory.
