Patrick H. Kirwan, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 18, 2015.
Patrick was the son of the Peter T. Kirwan II and the late Susan E. (Muldowney) Kirwan.
Patrick loved spending time with his grandson, Michael and with his family and friends. He also enjoyed cooking and playing with his pets. He was known for his goofy silly self.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Billie Jo Kirwan; his father Peter T. Kirwan II and Linda A. Kelly; he is the cherished father of, Susan E. (Terry) Kirwan, Patrick T. Kirwan; their mother, AnnMarie (James) Callander; Timothy Lovelace and Deanna Lovelace. He is the brother of Paul E. Kirwan, Liza Kirwan, Suzanne Crossley, Peter Kelly and Megyn Kelly. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael and Haeleigh, his in-laws Patricia Wedge and Clarance Bockleslaugh IV and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Albany, NY 12203. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at New Comer funeral home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 4:30 pm, for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the future Susan and Patrick Memorial Award, Scholarship Fund with Niskayuna High School. Please make donations to Elizabeth Kirwan c/o New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205.
