Patricia "Patty" J. Oddy

Albany- Patricia Jane Oddy, lovingly known as Patty, passed away on March 12, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 26, 1947 to the late Carl Alger and Alice Pierce Alger.

Patty was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She had a kind heart, a caring spirit and a way of making those around her feel loved and welcome. She dedicated her life caring for others at home and through her work at Teresian House where she worked faithfully for over 30 years before retiring.

Patty was predeceased by her beloved children Jean P. Oddy and Michelle M. Altobelli. 

Patty was the proud and loving mother of Kenneth J. (Laurie) Oddy, Michael J. (Judy) Oddy, Justin (Heidi) Pendyke, Nicole M. Oddy grandchildren, Amanda (Cody) Williams, Anthony Altobelli, Kenneth J. Oddy Jr., Cody Oddy, Rebecca (Brandon) Tarris, Anna (Brett) Walker, Madeline Oddy, Kaid Oddy, Ashley Ciletti, Michaela Oddy, Nykesha Quince, Jaddein Quince and Shelby Oddy, great grandchildren; Gryffin Ciletti and Noah Williams and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Over the years she lived throughout the greater Albany area, in Duanesburg and Guilderland Center eventually making her home in Chatham where she created a place filled with love, laughter and family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
