Patricia McDonald

Patricia Ann McDonald, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Latham, NY on July 4th, 2026.

Patricia will be remembered as the kindest and most loving mother and grandmother. Her gentle spirit, compassion, and devotion to her family touched everyone who knew her. She created a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will live on through the generations she helped shape.

She is survived by her children, Doris Susan McDonald, Michael Daugherty McDonald, and Alexander Patrick McDonald; and by her cherished grandchildren, Michael McDonald Jr., Ryan McDonald, Alexander McDonald, Gemma Forgue, and Cormac Forgue. Patricia took such joy in being with her grandchildren as they grew up, and her love will live on in the hearts of her family throughout the generations.

Patricia was the oldest of seven children, and she loved her brothers and sisters Joseph, David, Michael, Carol, Cathy, and Joanne. Patricia and her brothers and sisters were children to Joseph and Doris Delaney of Albany, NY.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Friday July 24th, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY where she will be laid to rest with her husband Michael D. McDonald.

In lieu of flowers, Patricia requested donations be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 in her memory. Patricia loved and cared for animals throughout her life, and it would be a wonderful tribute to her memory for donations to help animals in need.

Patricia's memory will forever remain a blessing and an inspiration to her family. She will be deeply missed. The kindness and love she always shared will endure in the hearts and lives of her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
