Patricia M. Drozd

Patricia “Pat” M. Drozd, 80, wife of Robert F. Drozd of Latham, passed peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Albany Medical Hospital. 

Pat was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. She was known for her big heart, beautiful smile, caring and loving nature, and always being there to help others when needed. She enjoyed spending time with her family above anything else and was always at family events, both big and small. Pat had an artistic talent and enjoyed crafting which she loved to gift to those dear to her. She was a devoted employee of the North Colonie School district for nearly 40 years. Her caring nature and constant presence was certainly felt among generations of students. Whether she was working as a teacher’s aide, bus driver, or lunchroom aide, she loved her job. She especially enjoyed the children who lovingly called her “Nonnie”, just as her own grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert, her two sons, Robert (Dawn) and Chad (Melanie) and her three grandchildren, Alexandra, Zachary, and Lillian. She is also survived by her brother, Gary Bazar. 

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Beatrice Bazar and sister, Constance Bailey. 

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY 12189.  Burial will be held privately at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia's name to the American Cancer Society.
