Patricia J. DiCarlo, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16th, surrounded by the love that defined her life.
Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter V. DiCarlo, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion and partnership. Together, they built a family-centered life that remained at the heart of everything she did.
A graduate of Linton High School, Patricia went on to work as an office clerk for the New York State Department of Labor, where she was known for her diligence and quiet dedication until her retirement.
More than anything, Patricia cherished her family. She had a special gift for bringing people together, and her home was the center of countless cherished gatherings. Holidays were her specialty-each one marked by warmth, laughter, and a table filled with her incredible cooking. To know Patricia was to know that no one ever left her home hungry, and no one ever felt anything less than welcome. Her meals were made with love, and they became lasting memories for all who shared them.
Patricia was proudly old school in her values, placing family above all else. She believed in showing love through actions-through a home-cooked meal, a thoughtfully prepared holiday, or simply being present when it mattered most. She also held a deep appreciation for Egyptian culture, which reflected her curiosity and appreciation for tradition and history.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael Peter DiCarlo (Lisa Anne Luderman- DiCarlo) and Kimberly Tiffault. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to Marina Tiffault, Peter A. Tiffault (Caroline), and Ernest “Joe” Tiffault, and a cherished great-grandmother to Judith C. Kocienski.
Patricia’s legacy is one of love, family, and togetherness. The traditions she created and the memories she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A funeral service will be held on April 27, 2026 at 9am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
