Panagiota Kontos

Albany - Panagiota Kontos, 78, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. She was born on December 5, 1946, in Larissa, Greece, to the late Ioanis Tzirouzidou and Sotiria Moisidis.

Panagiota was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with them-especially when gathered around the table enjoying her delicious home-cooked meals. Her love, warmth, and generosity touched all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vassilios Kontos.

Panagiota is survived by her children, John (Stacey) Kontos and Maria (Jason) Griffin; her adored grandchildren, Alex, Athena, Vassilios, Matheos, and Elleni; her loving siblings, Vassilicki and Dimitra (Ioannis); her uncle, Panagioti (Vassilicki); and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Panagiota will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, strength, and love of family.
