Norvelle Alderson

Norvelle M. Alderson, 74, of Selkirk, N.Y. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday March 9, 2025, at Albany Medical Center. Born March 7, 1951, in Albany, N.Y. to the late Thaddeus and Leona Norvelle Lopienski.

She was a 1969 graduate from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School. Norvelle worked for 25 years with the Federal Highway Department as a program operations assistant before her retirement in 2013. In her spare time Norvelle enjoyed going to concerts, dancing, bowling, fishing, being in and/or around the water. She also loved spending time with family and friends.

Norvelle is survived by her 3 sons, Philip (Debra) Goodrich of Seattle, WA, Brian (Joan) Goodrich of Cobleskill, Bruce (Allison) Lasher or Clarksville. Her grandchildren Calvin, Julie, Natalie, Carter, and Rory and her great grandson Ryker. Norvelle is also survived by her brothers Stephen (Carole) Lopienski of Selkirk, Ted (Pam) Lopienski of East Worcester, and Michael (Nancy) Lopienski of Glen Falls, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services for Norvelle will be Tuesday March 18, 2025, from 4:00-6:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals.
