Norman W. Jensen , 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Stratton VA Medical Center. He proudly served with the United States Army / Air Corp in WWII and retired from New York State Department of Transportation & Soil Mechanics. He was a communicant of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Loudonville, and a life member of the VFW Post 8692 and member of the American Legion Post 1450 and Guilderland Elks Lodge 2480.
In addition to his parents, Norman was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Bernice and his brothers and sister; Emil, Richard, John Jensen and Marion Dufault.
Norman is survived by his beloved children, Karen (Rick) Covey and Roger (Pam) Jensen. He is the adored grandfather of Brian Haas, Rachel Carey, Heather Leonard and Sarah Staigar, and great grandchildren, Natalie and Noelle Haas, Samantha Carey, Anthony Leonard and Alicia and Zoey Staigar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate staff of the VA's Adult Day Health Care, Emergency Room and 9B Hospice/Respite Unit.

Calling hours will be on Monday December 7, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the New Comer Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. John's Lutheran Church, Albany, New York.
