Listen to Obituary

Nasim Masih, 76, beloved widow of Hamid Masih and a loving, caring mother, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and community.

Nasim was born on January 14, 1950, in Pakistan, where she lived until 2017. She devoted her life to caring for her husband, children, and home. She also worked faithfully alongside her husband in service to both Christian and non-Christian communities. People admired her devotion to the Lord and her compassion for those who were suffering. She extended love and kindness to everyone, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity.

In 2017, Nasim completed the legal immigration process and moved to the United States. Wherever she went, she shared her love generously with those around her. She especially enjoyed attending Grace Fellowship Church, where she became part of a large spiritual family. She gave and received much love there and will be remembered for her forgiving heart, gentle spirit, and joy in being around others.

Nasim was also blessed to become part of the Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing family. She deeply loved the nurses, aides, staff members, and residents who cared for her and shared life with her. She missed them greatly when she was away. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped, cared for, and supported her.

Nasim was the devoted mother of Shahnaz (Sohail) William, Peter Masih, Mumtaz Hamid, Robina Hamid, Samina Hamid, Fouzia Hamid, Sofia Hamid, Romela Hamid, and Julious Hamid. The loving grandmother to Moses Peter, Eva Peter, Abigail Masih Hamid, and Matthew Masih Hamid. Her greatest legacy is the love, faith, kindness, and forgiveness she shared with her family and everyone she met.

Nasim will be deeply missed, but her beautiful example of Christian faith and unconditional love will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

May God bless everyone who loved and cared for Nasim, and may God bless the United States of America.
