Albany-
Nancy S. McCoon , 62, passed away after her long battle with cancer Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was the daughter of the late Clarence Herrick and Elizabeth Herrick. Nancy was the loving wife to Keith McCoon. They shared 36 wonderful years of marriage.
Nancy retired from the Albany County Nursing Home in 2012 where she and Keith moved south to enjoy warmer weather. Nancy also enjoyed scratching Cashwords, completing puzzles, painting bird houses and gardening.
Nancy is survived by her daughters; Jennifer (Jay) Stephens, Sarah (Derek) Bratt; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Lindsey, Kylee, Corey, and JJ. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert (Josie) Herrick, Mark (Yuny) Herrick, Richard (Mary) Herrick, Fred (Pam) Herrick, and many nieces and nephews as well as many other loving relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by her cherished companions Scrappy and Lucy.
Nancy is predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Paige.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY, 12205 on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm.
