Nancy W. Lynch

Nancy W. Lynch, 88, wife of the late Edward J. Lynch, passed away Friday June 5, 2026 after a short illness.

Born August 30, 1937, in Albany, New York, she was the daughter of William Edward Burns and Ann Mary Ryan.

Nancy attended The Vincentian Institute and worked for the State of New York, the Mohonasen Central School District, and later was a homemaker and worked as a baker. She was an avid reader, who liked history, travel, going to the beach, and puzzles, and was known for her quick wit, humor, kindness, and strength.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her sisters, Peggy DeMarco and Dorothy Hauth; brother, Joe Burns; nephew, Robert Hauth; and her niece, Donna Cullen.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Lynch (Michael Dolan), and Amy Lynch, of Schenectady; sons, William Lynch of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Christopher Lynch of Schenectady; granddaughter, Kaydence Dolan of Schenectady; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday June 13,2026 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the March of Dimes, the American Cancer Society, or WMHT/PBS Public Television.
