Nancy Louise (Krolak) Fisher was born on April 14, 1938, in Albany and passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, with her family by her side. She shared 60 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Timothy Fisher. Nancy is lovingly remembered by her son, Timothy James Fisher; her daughter, Kristen (Fisher) Reno; and Kristen’s husband, Jason Reno. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Nathaniel and Ethan Reno, who always brought a sparkle to her eyes.
Nancy had a lifelong passion for learning and spent many years working with the New York State Department of Education. She was an avid reader—curious, thoughtful, and always eager to learn something new. In her later years, she found a second home at the Daughters of Sarah nursing facility, where she thrived and stayed actively involved, serving as president of the residents’ council.
She is also survived by her two brothers, Jim Krolak and Richard Krolak, who remained close and caring presences throughout her life. Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Joan Richardson, whom she dearly loved and missed.
Nancy’s warmth, gentle humor, and deep love for her family and community will be missed by all who knew her.
