Mildred V. Elliotte

Mrs. Mildred V. Elliotte was born to the late John Thomas Davis and Ruth Ann Davis on April 12, 1935, in Franklin, Virginia. Mildred lived in Franklin until the age of three, when her family relocated to Brooklyn, NY. She grew up on Ralph and Atlantic Avenues, where her family spent many happy days. It was in Brooklyn that the family accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and became members of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. 

Mildred attended P.S. 28, Junior High School 178, and Franklin K. Lane High School. After high school, she married and dedicated man yeas to raising her children. She was blessed with five children, Patricia, Yvonne, Barry, Karen, and Darryl Elliotte. 

Mildred worked as a Dietitian for the New York City Board of Education and retied after 25 years of service. Following her retirement, she relocated to Albany, Ny, where she became a devoted and active member of Metropolitan Baptist Church under the late Reverend Dr., Earnest E. Drake. There, she formed many friendships and served as part of the church's Missionary Ministry. 

On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, Mildred went home to Glory in the loving arms of her granddaughter Stephanie Jones, whom she raised since infancy. 

Mildred leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Yvonne Elliotte; two sons, Barry (Joyce) Elliotte and Darryl Elliotte; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Mildred was predeceased by her parents, the late John Thomas and Ruth Ann Davis; her lifelong partner of 25 years, the late Lonnie Debois; and her two daughters, the late Patricia and Karen Elliotte. 

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11:00 am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. Burial will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery, 3 Cemetery Ave, Albany, NY 12204.
