Mildred A. Davis

Mildred A. Davis, 68, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2026.

Born in Manhattan, New York, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Claudina Davis.

Mildred found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved listening to gospel music and trying her luck with scratch-off lottery tickets (while sitting in her favorite red chair). Above all, she was most proud of being a grandmother and great grandmother , a role she cherished deeply and embraced with love and devotion.

She is survived by her only daughter, Dawn Davis (Ronnie). She was the beloved grandmother of Durrell Davis and Rondell Ethridge. Great grandmother to Amarianna Davis.

Mildred is also survived by her siblings, Dorine Davis, Frances Stone (Timothy), and Matthew Davis (Sherry Ann). She leaves behind her aunts, Mary, Thelma, and Mary Ann, as well as extended (siblings) Norman Mishoe Jr., Michelle Mishoe, Adrian Mishoe, and Michael Mishoe. She will also be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.

Mildred will be remembered for her warmth, her love for family, and the pride she took in those closest to her. Her presence and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 2pm-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will begin at 3pm
