Michele E. Lipe

After a courageous seven-year battle with cancer, Michele E. (Paparella) Lipe passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2025 surrounded by her family, including her former husband/dedicated caregiver, James Lipe.

Michele was born March 6, 1968 in Schenectady, NY, where she lived most of her life, attended Mont Pleasant High School and continued her education online to earn her Associates Degree. She worked for Capital Care Associates for many years before moving on to work for Fieldcore (GE Schenectady), before retiring because of her illness.

Along with James Lipe, Michele is survived by her children, Amanda Pedersen, Brianna Andrews (Grant), James W. Lipe, former step-daughter Megan Lipe and her beloved grandchildren, Carter, Naliccia, Colton and Lucas who brought her so much joy. Michele is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Norma and William Fedory, her sister, Julie (Paparella) Chesbrough, step-sisters Anne Ragoni (Thomas) and Eileen Haner, nephew Collin Barry, her cousins Douglas Welch, April (Welch) Gallagher, Wendy Welch, and Michael Paparella, and her uncle Louis Paparella.

Michele is predeceased by her father, Richard J. Paparella, her grandparents, Robert & Viola Welch and Louis & Claire Paparella, and her uncle Douglas Welch (Linda).

A visitation will be held on Friday June 20th from 3pm-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd.
