Schenectady - Michael Edward Shannon, 44, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 4, 2018 due to natural causes.

Born on June 20, 1973 in Albany, the son of Dawn Montavon and the late Edward Shannon. A lifelong resident of the area; Mike graduated from Shenendehowa, class of 1991 and was a graduate of HVCC.

Mike was the production & Logistics Manager for New York Apple Sales in Glenmont. He was an avid golfer and he took great pride in taking care of his home. Most of all, Mike was a loving person inside and out who will be missed by so many.

Along with his loving mother, Dawn, Mike is survived by the love of his life, Andrea George and Allison & Emily George, who he loved like they were his own; sister, Kimberly Bowles (Sidney III); nephews, Sidney IV & Thomas Bowles; Uncle, Stephen Momrow and special friends, Timothy and Ann Devine. Many cousins also survive. In addition, Mike had a very close knit circle of friends with which he's shared countless memories and considered family as well.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 4pm New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, 12189.

Memorial donations in Mike's name can be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, 12110 or to a charity of your choice.
