Michael J. O'Brien

Michael J. O'Brien, 70, beloved husband to Theresa, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.

He spent many years in the automotive service industry before dedicating himself full-time to raising his two children, William and Brittany, alongside his wife, Theresa. A devoted father and community member, he found joy in fishing, coaching youth sports, and lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. Selfless by nature, he always put others first. Above all, he cherished time with his family, his grandchildren, friends, and his beloved grand-dogs, always with a Dunkin' tea in hand.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Theresa O'Brien; his two children, William (Sandy) O' Brien, and Brittany (Ingrid) O'Brien; and his three grandchildren, Landon, Jaxson, and Aubree. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia McArdle, Jeanne Leonard, his brother, John O'Brien, and his loyal companion Milo, who never left his side. As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Michael is predeceased by both of his parents, John and Harriet O'Brien.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 18 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189 with a service to immediately follow.
