Michael Morone

Michael Morone, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Shaker Place with his loving family by his side. Michael was the son of the late Rocco and Mae Morone. He was the devoted husband of over 55 years to Rose M. Morone.

Michael was a home builder, owning his own company for many years in the Capital District, Watervliet Estates. They built beautiful homes, "they built the homes that had good bones". Quality was important to Michael.

He donated time to the elderly to help with home repairs, he enjoyed traveling with his wife to the ocean and loved to help care for his family.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Tony Morone.

Michael is survived by his children, Theresa I. (Scott) Featherstone, Angela (Todd) Morone and Eli (Alison) Morone. He was the proud grandfather of Jack Featherstone.

Funeral service will be private, and he will be laid to rest in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Expedition YETI Fund for Children's Cancer, YETI TEAM c/o Bernard and Millie Duker Hospital, Albany, NY.
