Michael P. Galietta Sr.

ALBANY – Michael P. Galietta Sr., 88, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Daughter of Sarah Nursing Center.

Michael was born on January 11, 1937 in Albany and was the son of the late Michael and Bessie (DiMoro) Galietta. He retired as a manager of Technical Manual Publication from the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Niskayuna.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and giving treats to his neighbor’s dogs as they were on their walks.

Michael is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Galietta Jr. and Stephanie (Rocco) Galietta; his grandchildren, Nicole (Christopher) Juntura, Jaimie (Benjamin) Appel and Macy Galietta; his great grandsons, Anthony and Axel Appel and Corwin and Camden Juntura; his brother, Joseph (Kathy) Galietta and his friend, Alice Bokus. He was predeceased by wife, Antoinette A. (Mayone) Galietta and his son, John J. Galietta.

Inurnment will be held at Memory Gardens with a private committal service.
