Michael J. Dansereau, 63, of Guilderland, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born on June 7, 1954 in Aurora, CO, Michael was the son of Raymond and Therese (Blanchard) Dansereau.
Michael was the devoted husband to Barbara J. (Speers) Dansereau. They were married 38 years.
He was a graduate of Guilderland High School, class of 1972. In his senior year, Michael played football for the Dutchmen. He was also on the wrestling team.
Michael retired in 2015 from the State of New York where he worked in Higher Education Services Corp. in Albany. Before that, he worked in civil service.
Michael enjoyed spending his pastime reading, painting by numbers and surfing the web. He also liked watching movies and enjoyed cooking. Michael was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots Fan!
Beloved husband of Barbara Dansereau, dearest son of Raymond and Therese Dansereau, cherished brother of the late Catherine Patten, Robert (Colleen) Dansereau, Nancy (Rick) MacDonald, Mary (Mark) Molander and John Dansereau.
Michael was the uncle of Sarah Prunier, Matthew Dansereau, Michael Dansereau, Maxwell Molander and Lucas Molander. Cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at 10 am from New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Monday, February 5th from 4-7 p.m.
