Michael Alexander

Michael Alexander was born March 20, 1953, in Albany, NY to the late Fannie George Harper and late Earl Alexander. Michael had a wonderful childhood. He attended and graduated from Cardinal McCloskey Highschool in 1973. From there, Michael decided to leave NY and moved to Washington, DC. During that time, in Washington, D.C. he met Pamela Theresa Nickens. After courtship, they decided to move back to Albany.
In 1983, they were married. From this union, they had four Children: Solomon, Michael, Ranita, and Anthony.

Michael dedicated over 20 years of his life as a Security Guard at the Teresian House Nursing Home, always going above and beyond for his job. In his spare time, he loved watching NFL, boxing, and basketball, especially cheering for UNC, while enjoying the simplicity of life with a great sense of humor. His passion for music and dining out with family was matched only by his love for spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Poppy.”

Michael leaves to cherish his memories to his four children, Solomon Jamil Alexander, Michael Elijah Alexander, Ranita Janice Alexander, JD, and Hannibal Anthony Donaldson. Six grandchildren: Tre Victoria, Giovanni Flanagan, Lorenzo Flanagan, Isabella Flanagan, Leal Wright, Bailey Donaldson. His siblings, Leroy Starks-Bey (Theresa), Fred Williamson (Diane), Avis Williamson, and John Williamson (Alexis). He leaves his memories with nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his late wife Pamela who departed May 24, 2016. Alos, his two sisters-Katric Bethune and Veronica Starks.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11:30 am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie NY.
