RENSSELAER-Michael J. Abair, 55, passed away at home surrounded by his family.
Mike graduated from Niskayuna High School Class of 1980. After graduation he joined the United States Army and served his country until 1986. He worked as a Psychiatric Case Worker at the Ellis Hospital Social Club in Schenectady.
Mike was a kind hearted person, he was quick witted and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed life and had a passion for photography and computers. He will be missed by all.
Michael is survived by his parents, Paul and Judy Abair of Stuart, FL.; his sister, Patty (Bill) Speidel of Norfolk, VA; sister-in-law, Debbie Abair; his step siblings, half siblings and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul, Mark and Bob Abair.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 10-12pm at New Comer Funerals and Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A funeral service to celebrate Mike's life will begin at 12pm on Monday following visitation. Entombment will follow funeral services at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
