CLIFTON PARK - Maxine Ferrara, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2025 in Clifton Park. Born in Brooklyn, New York she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Irene (Garber) Cohen.

She lived a life shaped by wonder, creativity, and a deep reverence for beauty in all its forms.

Throughout her life, Maxine found home in many places-New York City, the Catskills, Clifton Park, California, and married in Italy. Each place became part of her story, reflecting her adventurous spirit, her love of culture and art, and her enduring connection to the natural world.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Angelo Ferrara, her partner in life and love. Maxine is survived by her sons, Rob Ferrara (Deborah), Cary Ferrara, and Claude Ferrara, and by her treasured grandchildren, Jacquelyn Ferrara and Zachary Ferrara, who filled her life with love and pride.

Family and faith were the center of Maxine’s heart. She loved with sincerity and depth, offering warmth, devotion, and a quiet strength that anchored those around her. Guided by a deep and abiding faith in God, she lived with grace, finding purpose and comfort in her belief. Her love was constant, generous, and lasting-a gift that will continue to live on through her family.

Maxine approached life as an art form. A lifelong learner, she studied business, dramatic arts, and makeup artistry, and was endlessly inspired by creative expression. Drawn to dance, theater, and music, she lived with elegance and imagination. She found peace and renewal in nature, especially in the mountains and by the ocean, where she felt most connected to the beauty of the world.

Maxine will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her curiosity, and the love she felt so deeply. Her presence brightened the lives of those who knew her, and her memory will be carried forward with love and gratitude-a torch of light honoring her enduring love of life, family, and faith.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through tree planting, celebrating Maxine’s lasting love of nature and life.
