or Maureen Gogan, 86, loving Mother to five children and adoring wife to Emil Jannarone, passed away peacefully at her home on September 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Maureen was born on May 31, 1939, in Newark, New Jersey. Maureen was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman. As a mother, she was generous, loving and kind.
She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Alice Hogan and her siblings Alice, and Patsy, husband Emilo Jannarone and her son Michael Gogan and grandson Ryan Gogan. Beloved mother to Michael Gogan (Carol), Kathleen Gogan, Maureen Gogan, Eileen Gogan and Mary Gogan (Mike). Grandmother to Anthony Gogan (Tiffany) and John Michael Gogan (Katy). Great Grandmother to Allura, Gianna and Layla. She will be remembered by countless friends for her warmth and generosity.
Maureen retired from St. Peters hospital, where she developed many friendships that would last for many years. For years, Maureen and Emil enjoyed spending Winters in New Port Richie, Florida and Summers in Albany with family. She was very proud of being Irish and loved visiting the Catskills with her friend Ann. She often could be seen doing the “Irish Jig” and enjoyed the Irish culture and dance. Maureen enjoyed baking, cooking, and having family dinners as well as visiting the ocean in Maine with family. Her famous pancakes and apple pies will be missed! In her spare time, Maureen enjoyed thrifting with Gail and Ruthanne in search of the deal of the day!
The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude for the loving care given to Maureen from Danielle, Denise and Debbie, her caretakers.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of Albany County Hospice for their kind and compassionate care provided to the Maureen and her family.
A public visitation will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205 on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with a memorial service to begin at 1:00pm.
