Matthew D. Robinson

Albany- Mathew Dion Robinson, fondly known as “El”, was born September 9, 1970 in Jamaica Queens, NY to Bettye and Harry Robinson. He passed away on September 6, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Bettye Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Clarissa Robinson, his father Harry Robinson; three sisters: Beverly Perkins, Anjeanette Hartley, and Tasha Thomas, and four brothers: Larry Robinson, Patrick “Flay” Robinson, Fread Robinson, and Timothy Thomas.

He leaves his loving children: JaQuad Ledbetter, NaQuasia Robinson, India Chaney, Christopher Robinson, Shekinah Temple, Shaquin Robinson, and Tayla Robinson. He also leaves his grandchildren: Jadia, Jadon, London, Janelyees, Amiyah, Amari and Amani; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends. Mathew was well loved by family and friends

Calling Hour 10-11am followed by 11:00am Funeral Service, will be held Monday September 14, 2026 at Church of God of Prophecy 774 Madison Avenue, Albany, NY 12208. Interment to follow service Graceland Cemetery 680 Delaware Ave Albany, NY 12208
