Mary Prindle Zeccolo

Following extensive surgery and a lengthy period of hoped-for recovery, Mary Prindle Zeccolo, age 86, of Halfmoon, NY, passed away at Saratoga Hospital on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Born at Brady Maternity Hospital in Albany, Mary was the daughter and second of six children of the late Arnold and Margaret Prindle. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Keil.

Left to mourn Mary’s passing are her beloved husband of 13 years, Stanford Zeccolo; daughter Laura Kenny (Steve); stepson Matthew Zeccolo; grandchildren Brendan Gibbs, Meghan Gibbs and Conor Gibbs; step-grandchildren Rhythm Zeccolo and Ember Zeccolo; and siblings Arnold “Arnie” Prindle, Joseph Prindle (Michele), Thomas Prindle, and Kathleen Curran (Robert); and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Mary attended high school at Cathedral Academy in Albany, graduating in June 1957. In later years, she went on to Russell Sage College, where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree, graduating magna cum laude. In her working life, Mary was employed by Verizon as a graphic artist. Mary’s great gift and talent was as an artist. Her specialties were in pastels and water colors. She also lived and loved to play golf and ski. It was only a few years ago that she stopped skiing because her eyesight was failing. Her loss of eyesight prevented her from being able to do many of the things she loved. In that regard, donations to research organizations such as the Glaucoma Research Foundation are encouraged.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake, NY. Beginning at 1:00PM, a brief (one-hour) gathering period will be available at the church for visiting with family and friends, followed by the mass at 2:00. 

Burial will follow in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, 41 Jolley Rd, Glenmont, NY 12077.
