Mary E. Hotaling

Mary E. Hotaling, 81, passed away on July 21, 2026 in her home surrounded by family.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Charlene Bleichert, and the wife of the late John Hotaling.

Mary worked as a housekeeper for many years before retiring. She loved baking, cooking, and gardening. She also enjoyed listening to oldies music, Christmas, and above all, spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Foley, Robert Bleichert, Albert Bleichert, Lawrence Bleichert, Linda McGrail, David Bleichert and Susan Blechiert.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Garcia, Brenda Locksin and Deborah Hotaling; 4 grandchildren, Sandra Garcia, Johnathan Garcia, Brandon Wheeler, and Aiden Locksin; sister, Patricia Kirkpatrick; brother, Paul Bleichert; and several nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

She was a cherish friend and neighbor of Thomas Seeberger and Debbie and William St. Louis.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to The Community Hospice.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral ceremony to follow at 1 p.m. Interment in Albany Rural Cemetery.
