Mary L. Ellsworth, 75, entered into eternal life on May 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Schenectady on January 6, 1950, to the late Hattie and Joseph Pawlowski, Sr.
Mary was a resident of Voorheesville for over 45 years. She graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1967, and Albany Business College in 1969. She worked for General Electric Co. before retiring to raise her family. Later she worked for the University at Albany for 25 years, retiring in 2013. She was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church in Voorheesville. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed the many trips to Hilton Head, SC and Ft. Lauderdale, FL in the winter with her husband, and her annual summer vacations in Cape Cod with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Gary Ellsworth, whom she married on September 27, 1969; four daughters, Lori Burke (Robert), Alyssa Lotano (Perry), Aimee Ellsworth and Tara O'Keefe (James); eight grandchildren: Hannah Rivera, Payton Burke, Olivia Burke, Perry Lotano, Ryan Lotano, Liam O'Keefe, Abigail O'Keefe and Oliver O'Keefe; two brothers, Joseph Pawlowski, Jr. and Robert Pawlowski; sister, Diane Cellucci; a host of nieces and nephews; and dear friend and cousin, Kathy McHale.
Calling hours will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory can be made to The Lustgarten Foundation, in hopes of curing pancreatic cancer.
