Mary N. DiPalma

TROY — Mary (Marchese) DiPalma, 62, of Troy, NY, passed away suddenly on September 27, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late Nicola and Serafina (Gulli) Marchese.

Mary was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and Hudson Valley Community College. She worked for many years as a Medical Office Manager and Medical Transcriptionist before her long illness.

Mary had a remarkable gift for crocheting and was an exceptional artist with a needle and yarn. She often created unique and exquisite designs, sharing her talent and creativity with those around her.

Those who knew Mary will remember her beautiful smile, generous heart, and the warmth and kindness she so freely gave to others. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Fiorino DiPalma; her daughter, Gelsomina DiPalma; her stepchildren, Francesco DiPalma, Elena (Rob) McCauley, Margaret DiPalma; her grandchildren, Robert, Giselle, Sharif, and Eziekial; her siblings, Gina (the late Fred) Wagoner, Frances (Luigi Gino) Lengua, Nicholas (Teri) Marchese, and Frank (Carolyn) Marchese; her aunt, Antonietta Lanni; Sisters in-law and Brother In-Law: Antonietta (the late Joseph) Mazzariello, Enrico (the late Lyn) DiPalma, Gelsomina (Mauro) Lucidoni as well as several cousins in Canada and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her in-laws, Francesco & Elena DiPalma.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 State Street, Troy, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m.

Mary's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish her love, her beautiful smile, and the many special moments they shared with her. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Lymphedema Network or to the Sidewalk Warriors of Troy, NY.
