Marvin passed through Heaven's gate 7/28/2026 at the age of 93.
He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Ethel Kipp, sister Betty Floud, brothers John and Douglas Kipp, loving first
wife Hazel Russell Kipp, Son Marvin jr. and daughter Pamela Kipp Gailor and the love of his life, wife Clara Vagnier Kipp.
He is survived by sister, Diana (Stanley) Hatalsky, a granddaughter Cassie Gailor and many loving nieces and nephews.
He also had extended family in Ohio who took such great patient care of him throughout his last years.
Marvin, a graduate of Mechanicville High School, was a great carpenter for many years. When he
decided to go back to school and get his teacher's degree. He then taught shop and carpentry at
the LaSalle School for Boys in Albany, NY.
After retirement from his teaching job, he opened an ice cream snack bar in Stillwater, NY, his hometown,
for several years, known as, "Kipp's Snack Bar."
Marvin, retired to Brant Lake for summers and Florida for winters. That is when he lost Hazel to a
heart attack. But also, was blessed to meet and fall in love with Clara. They were married in
Florida and lived there for several years before moving to Ohio to be closer to Clara's family.
He had a great life, filled with laughter and contentment. He will be missed terribly.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Colonie
