Marques D. Judkins

Listen to Obituary

Marques Dwayne Judkins, 48, passed away on October 21, 2025.

On May 22, 2010, Marques married his loving and devoted wife, Natasha L. Judkins.

He was born in Albany, NY on March 9, 1977 to Brenda J. Rowlett (Dean Rowlett) and David L. Judkins (Dina Alexander).

Marques received his associates degree from Hudson Valley Community College (Troy, NY) where he majored in Business Administration. He began his employment years with Colonial Plumbing in Albany, NY, during his high school career. He later worked with the Capital District Transit Authority (CDTA) for over 11 years and Albany Memorial Hospital.

Marques was a loving and devoted son to his mom at all times. He loved his grandparents to no end and he allowed them to spoil him (with love). He had a contagious happy smile even during the days he was not feeling well. Throughout the years, he welcomed into his life individuals he would later claim as his adopted cousins, aunts and uncles. His aunt Karen was his favorite aunt. He loved spending time with her cooking, grilling, and baking. During his childhood years, he was a baseball fan and was a member of the American Little League of Albany, NY. He enjoyed bowling, cruises, swimming, and going on road trips with his wife. Marques’ greatest joy after marriage was coming to know his creator and heavenly Father, Jehovah. He became an avid Bible student who thoroughly enjoyed not only learning from the Bible but also attending Christian meetings at the kingdom hall with his wife. His favorite scripture is Isaiah 33:24 where it states “No Resident will say i am sick.” He made sure he scheduled his time to not conflict with meetings, conventions and assemblies. His dedication to his faith became pillars in his life.

Throughout his years under dialysis treatment at DCI, Marques enjoyed encouraging new patients by putting their minds at ease during their treatments. He was generous by any measure he was capable of. Never one to deny anyone help or a kind word. He loved caring for his wife. He cooked and cleaned, did laundry, and was his wife’s best friend. He loved his wife with “his whole heart.”

Marques is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Loretta Hardy; maternal uncle, Lawrence M. Hardy; paternal grandparents, David L. Judkins and Irene Judkins; paternal aunts, Ramona Woodard, Geraldine Robinson, Mary Hicks, and Margaret Carrington; and uncle, Darrell Judkins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his siblings, Dean Rowlett Jr. (Requita), Denisha Rowlett, Lacretia Rowlett, Shadina Currie, David Poole Jr., Erica Poole, and Rahmik Ayers; aunts, Karen Hardy (Melvin Cherry), Carmela Hardy; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support, whether by way of food, flowers, or caring phone calls. Most importantly, we want to thank you for your prayers and your love. We would also like to thank Albany Medical Center Emergency Staff.
