Troy- Marjory P. Orlep, 69, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. She was born in Gouverneur, NY on May, 12, 1946 to the late Herman and Marjory Perry.
Marjory graduated in 1964 from St. Mary's Academy in Ogdensburg, NY and went on to receive a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Rose College in 1968 and a B.S.N. from Russell Sage College in 1998. She worked in quality improvement at Equity Group in Cohoes and later retired from St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Marjory recently volunteered at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Marjory was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Marjory was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, David Orlep of Troy.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Debra) Orlep, Karen (Brian) Davis, and Robert (Mary) Orlep; her grandchildren, Ellen, Sarah, Lauren, David, and Christopher; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Orlep.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10am on Friday at The Chapel + Cultural Center in the Parish of Christ Sun of Justice, 2125 Burdett Ave., Troy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Unity House of Troy, 2431 Sixth Avenue, Troy, NY 12180.
