Marion J. Murphy

Colonie- Marion J. Murphy, 96, passed away April 5, 2026. She was born August 4, 1929, to the late Harry and Mildred Coster.

Marion was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the rock of all family gatherings, always ensuring everyone was fed, happy, and loved. Her most cherished memories were made at her camp on Saratoga Lake, where she spent many days on the pontoon boat with her children and grandchildren.

A landmark of those Saratoga Camp dinners was her dinner bell, which she would have one of her grandchildren proudly ring and announce: "Good food, Good meat, Good God, Let's Eat!" Her mesmerizing blue eyes will forever shine on in our hearts.

Marion is predeceased by her husband Thomas E. Murphy Sr, daughter Wendy M. Murphy, Granddaughter Amy C. Seyboth-Tiradore.

Marion is survived by children, Thomas E. Murphy, Jr., Patricia A. Van Alstyne, Colleen N. Murphy. Cherished grandmother of several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Calling 9-11, followed by 11:00am service will be held Thursday April 16, 2026 held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 343 New Karner Road Colonie, NY 12205. Interment to follow Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Road Schuylerville , NY .
