Marie E. Drost, 104, passed away peacefully. at home on February 1st, 2026. She was born in Albany, daughter of the late Gilbert and Marie Shadick.
Marie was active in the church, she enjoyed playing bingo there as well and taking trips with the church to the Grand Canyon and Nashville Tennessee. When her sons were growing up they all loved taking long rides in the car and having picnics.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Jacob.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert and Donald Drost, as well as her 6 grandchildren that she adored.
A visitation will be held on Friday February 6th from 10am-12pm with a service to follow at 12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY.
