Maria E. Mendez
June 27, 1930 — January 16, 2017
Maria E. Mendez, 86, passed away peacefully Monday, January 16, 2017. Born in Santa Ana, El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Hernandez and the loving wife of the late Jose Mendez.
Maria is survived by her four children, Maria Lilian Vilte Mendez (Osvaldo), Jose A. Mendez (Elena), Victor A. Mendez (Juana) and Rene A. Martinez (Cindy). Maria is also survived by her grandchildren, Liliana, Karmel, Nancy, David, Tony, Carolina, Shawn, Roberto and Kayleen as well as her siblings Hugo, Ana, Claribel, Maria Tereza and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
Maria is predeceased by her loving granddaughter Kathleen Martinez.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 23,
2017 at Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas, 273 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206 at 10:30am.
