ALBANY_ Margaret "Peggy" Rochminski, 84, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2016 at the Eddy Heritage House.
She was born on November 28, 1931 daughter of the late David and Loretta (Connors) Duncan.
Peg was a lifelong resident of the Albany area. She was a member of the Thunder Road Senior Center and Silver Streakers in Albany. She was also a member of Christ our Light Catholic Church.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Peggy enjoyed her time staying at home and raising her children. After her boys were older she was employed at the NYS Workers Compensation Department as a clerk for many years. She was an active volunteer at Memorial Hospital, Proctors Theatre and the Capital Region Food Bank.
Peggy enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and bird watching. She was very active, she enjoyed Yoga, golf, bowling and cross country skiing. In retirement she and her husband Jack enjoyed traveling the world together. She will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to know and love her.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, John "Jack" Rochminski; children, Michael (Pam) Rochminski of Colonie, Mark (Lisa) Rochminski of Colonie, John (Gigi) Rochminski of Colonie; grandchildren, Alysa Rochminski, Zak Rochminski; brothers, James (Tilly) Duncan, Harry (Carol) Duncan, Ed Duncan; sister-in-law, Mary Duncan; brother-in-law, Charles Horton and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her sister, Anne Duncan; brothers, David Duncan, Bernard Duncan; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Duncan, Nancy Duncan and Geraldine Horton.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 4-6 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, New York 12205. A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Peggy on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Albany, NY 12211. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
