Margaret Polaro

Margaret Polaro, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Albany on May 6, 1947, Margaret was the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Nati) Burometto. She graduated from South Colonie High School and went on to attend cosmetology school. Upon completing her studies, she worked for several years at Hollywood Salon in Albany.

Margaret was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, especially her cherished grandchildren. She also held a special place in her heart for the four-legged members of the family, who brought her much happiness and companionship.

Margaret shared 45 loving years of marriage with the love of her life, Joseph, who predeceased her in 2025. Their years together were filled with love and devotion, a bond she carried with her always. She was also predeceased by her sister, Angela Burometto, in 1961.

Margaret will be remembered for her devotion to her family, the love she gave so freely, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she treasured above all else.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Kimberly and Debra (Anthony Macon) Polaro. She is a proud grandmother of Aneesia Faye, Alaunna Macon and Darian Macon. She is survived her siblings, Charles (Rae), Blaise and Frank Burometto and many close family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service to immediately follow at 12:00 pm on Monday, October 26, 2026 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
