WESTMERE – Margaret E. "Peggy" Laier, beloved wife of Edgar H. Laier, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Born on July 4, 1937 in Ticonderoga, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Nedeau. Peggy married Edgar on July 20, 1957 and the two celebrated fifty-five years of love and devotion prior to her passing.
In addition to her beloved husband Peggy is survived by her loving children: Karla (Ron) VanAlstyne, Eric (Margaret) Laier, David (Gail) Laier, Laura Riccio and the late Jeff Riccio. Peggy was also the devoted grandmother of Erin (Don) Adams, Brian VanAlstyne (Stephanie), Kimberly Laier (Sean), Chad Laier, Sierra Riccio (Andrew), Cheyenne Riccio, Bobbi Burnash, Briana Laier and Amber Izzo. She is the cherished great-grandmother of Ryan, Logan and Lilly Adams.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 362 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Peggy Laier.
