Albany- It is with profound sadness and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved Madeline Dowling Donohue Lincourt, who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 91.
Born on April 25, 1935, Madeline lived a life filled with love, laughter, music, and devotion to her family. She had a vibrant spirit, a warm heart, and a way of making those around her feel loved and cherished.
Madeline dedicated more than 20 years of service to the Department of Motor Vehicles before retiring. In her earlier years, she also worked at the Empire Skating Rink.
A woman who truly appreciated the joy in life, Madeline loved singing, dancing, watching musicals, and, of course, shopping trips with her family. Music held a special place in her heart, and she proudly shared her beautiful voice as a member of the Sweet Adelines chorus. Whether enjoying a favorite musical or singing along to a beloved song, Madeline found happiness in life’s simple pleasures.
Above all else, Madeline’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love knew no bounds. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and wonderful food. Her cooking and baking were adored by everyone fortunate enough to enjoy them. The meals she lovingly prepared were more than just food; they were expressions of love and memories her family will treasure forever.
Madeline was married to Raymond Lincourt, and together they had four beautiful children: Raymond (Patricia)Lincourt Jr., Virginia(Samuel)Lincourt, Daniel(Cathy)Lincourt, and Francis (Kimberly)Lincourt.
She was a loving and proud grandmother to Daniel (Lindsay)Burdick, Andrew (Jessica )Decapria, Amber Lincourt, Christine (Paolo)Lincourt, Ryan (Brandy) Lincourt, Laura (Kimberly)Lincourt, and Skylar “Luke”Lincourt.
Her legacy of love continued through her cherished great-grandchildren: Sammy Burdick, Nadia Albanese, Ilaria Albanese, Maya Richardson, Francesco Albanese, and Adriano Albanese.
Madeline was predeceased by her beloved sister, Virginia Donohue, and her brothers, Francis Michael Donohue, Terrance Donohue, and Brian Donohue and survived by brother Anthony Donohue.
Madeline will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love of music, her delicious home-cooked meals, and the countless ways she brought happiness to those around her. She had a special gift for creating memories through the simplest moments — a song, a dance, a shared laugh, or a meal gathered around the table.
She was deeply loved by her family and dear friends, and her absence will be felt beyond words.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will live on through the generations of family she leaves behind. Her recipes, her songs, her laughter, and her beautiful spirit will forever be a part of us.
Madeline’s life was a beautiful reminder that the greatest treasures are not things, but the people we love and the memories we make together.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Madeline. Your song will forever live in our hearts. ❤️
