Listen to Obituary
Niskayuna - Madeline Gallo, of Niskayuna, passed away peacefully in her own home on December 19 surrounded by family and close friends after a courageous, five-year battle against ovarian cancer. She was a wonderful, warm, loving mother and grandmother and a dear, devoted friend. She had a distinguished professional career in communications and media relations, but her first love was her art. She was a gifted sculptor, and her medium was clay.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Lewis Gough and Nicholas Lewis; her grandson, Jackson Schranck; and her sister, Maryann Flynn.

The following words are ones she lived by: "I embrace all that comes my way. I find joy in everyday. I love all dimensions of myself. I delight in weaving the creative tapestry that is my life. I relinquish all grievances, resentments and regrets. I embrace the miracles."

Services for Madeline will be private and at the convenience of her family.
